Questioning Children!

What did our parents do when it came to the difficult questions that children ask?

I would be completely lost if not for the internet. I can relate to the poor Dad on the Bigpond ads trying to explain things to his son. This morning Jman asked about Steve Erwin and how he died, we jumped on the internet looked at pictures of stingrays, their barbs and pics of the human heart. He accepted it all with the usual 5 yr old attitude of okay, now I know.
A few weeks ago it was (don't ask why I have no idea) the moons of Jupiter, again we went to NASA and looked at real pictures of the different moons.
So far we have done research on all sorts of things he has seen on the news...

  • Space shuttles (when we all hoped they would return safetly)
  • Earthquakes
  • Deep Space fields
  • Spiders
  • Stingrays
  • Sharks
  • Tanks
  • Babies
  • Pluto (poor demoted Pluto)
  • And various Where is .... countries.

What a world we live in, that this information is now available at our finger tips 24/7, so no matter what time of the day or night our little sponges ask questions we can give clear accurate information within moments.
